Short-Term Rehabilitation in Parma, Ohio

Broadview Multi-Care Center provides short-term rehabilitation for eligible residents recovering after hospitalization, surgery, stroke, orthopedic conditions, illness, injury, or loss of strength. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy may be available up to seven days a week based on clinical needs, the individualized care plan, staffing, and scheduling.

Rehabilitation Focused On Individual Recovery Goals

Our rehabilitation team works with residents, families, nursing professionals, physicians, and discharge planners to develop an individualized plan based on each person’s condition, abilities, and recovery goals.

Rehabilitation may support individuals recovering from:

  • Orthopedic conditions or joint replacement
  • Stroke or other neurological conditions
  • Cardiac events

Therapy Services Available

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy may address strength, balance, walking, transfers, endurance, mobility, and fall-risk reduction.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy may help residents improve the skills needed for dressing, bathing, grooming, eating, mobility, and other daily activities.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy may address communication, cognition, language, memory, voice, and swallowing needs following illness, injury, surgery, or neurological changes..

Defined Rehabilitation Programs

Broadview offers rehabilitation support for appropriate orthopedic, stroke, and neuromuscular conditions. Therapy may also support recovery after a cardiac event. Broadview does not represent this service as a separately licensed outpatient cardiac rehabilitation program.

Discharging Planning

The care team helps residents and families prepare for the safest practical discharge setting. Planning may include caregiver education, equipment recommendations, home-safety guidance, follow-up services, and coordination with community providers.
